Welcome to James Cook University's self-scheduling booking system for MBBS interviews being held on:

 

Tuesday, 28th November to Tuesday, 5th December 2023

and

Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd January 2024

 

All interviews will be conducted online via zoom.  

In order to be able to participate you will need the following:

  • A computer, laptop, ipad, etc.  
  • An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  • A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
  • A quiet private room where you won't be interrupted, with no one else in the room

If using a Mac, please complete a full restart prior to your interviews

Instructions for Interviewers

Use the black menu tabs on the left-hand of the screen to navigate: 

Step 1 – Read the confidentiality agreement and acknowledge.  If you believe you may have a conflict of interest please email med.interviewers@jcu.edu.au and let us know your circumstances.  If you are in any doubt, we welcome a discussion with you to clarify. 

Step 2 – Enter or update your personal information via the “Your Profile” tab.

Step 3 – Click on the “Interviewer Availability” tab and select your availability by choosing the month and then the date.  Tick the check box for AM, PM or All Day.  You can log in any time prior to 20th October 2023 to update your availability.  If you need to make changes after this please email med.interviewers@jcu.edu.au or phone (07) 4781 5025.

Indigenous Pathway

JCU provides a selection pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants consisting of an interview panel of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members. These interviews will take place on 30th November and 5th and 6th December 2023

If you are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent and would like to volunteer for the Indigenous Pathway interviews please register your details here.

Training

Training is self-paced.  The training videos will be available in September to watch via the Training Acknowledgement tab on the left-hand side menu.  The training videos will also be emailed to you.  You will be asked to watch these and then click the acknowledgment button.

We will also be having a non-compulsory online drop-in session if you have any questions regarding the training or the interview process.  Information about these sessions will be emailed.

Panel Confirmation

Confirmation of your allocated panel dates will be emailed in late October once all training sessions have been completed and availability selected.
